Dr Esther Thaara Muoria, PhD, CBS Principal Secretary for TVET joined the leadership and community of Taita Taveta National Polytechnic for the institution`s 2nd Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the trainees and the transformative power of skills development.
The presence of H.E. the Governor of Taita Taveta County, Ministry officials and other stakeholders underscored the shared commitment towards strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a pathway to empowerment, employment and economic growth.
A special milestone was witnessed as 27 RPL graduates from Manyani Prison were celebrated for earning recognition and certification for skills they had acquired through experience. This demonstrates that TVET is inclusive and provides opportunities for every Kenyan to validate their competencies and build better futures.
The State Department remains committed to advancing Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET), expanding access to quality skills training and ensuring all graduates are equipped with the competencies needed to drive Kenya’s development.
