As an integral part of the Taita Taveta National Polytechnic (TTNP) community, the Guidance and Counselling Department (GCD) provides high quality guidance and counselling services that supports trainees’ and staff’s emotional, personal, social, developmental, and academic concerns.

Our Vision is to be a center of excellence in providing Guidance and Counselling services for effective teaching and learning.

The mission is to provide quality services of both guiding and counselling to meet the academic, psychological, physical and spiritual needs to the trainees and staff.

The core function of this department is to offer the following services to the TTNP community:

• Guidance services on Education and social services
• Individual and group Counselling
• Career/Vocational Counselling
• Welfare and outreach services
